The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

John Lyman Center for the Performing Arts

What would you give up to have the world? SCSU Theatre Department and Crescent Players present a cautionary tale of how a hunger to learn can go very wrong. Faustus is the most respected student in the world, but his ambition to know more and do more combine with his own fears and self-criticism to ruin it all. Journeying through time and space from the heights of enlightenment to the pits of hell with a little help from the wise demon Mephistophilis, Faustus has no one to blame but himself. But was it worth 24 years of ultimate pleasure and power? You decide.
