Screening of 'Backpack Full of Cash' with Panel Discussion

Thursday, November 8, 2018

Join the SCSU Urban Education Fellows and our community partners (including the New Haven Public School Advocates and New Haven Educators Collective) for a screening of the documentary Backpack Full of Cash. The screening will include a panel discussion around the problematic influence of corporate money on public education, an influence that disproportionately affects students of color. We will discuss efforts underway in the New Haven community to make public schools institutions serving the community and shaped by the communities they serve.
