Professor of Art David A. Levine has been designated as a Connecticut State University Professor one of the CSCU System's highest honors by the Board of Regents.
The title of CSU Professor is awarded to outstanding faculty members at Southern, Eastern, Western and Central Connecticut State Universities comparable to being named to an endowed chair.
Dr. Levine has received international acclaim as a scholar, in particular for his research on the Dutch and Flemish artists working in Rome during the Baroque era.
He will be formally installed as a CSU Professor during a ceremony today, Monday, October 30, at 1 p.m. in the Adanti Student Center Ballroom. All members of the Southern community are invited to attend.
Dr. Levine joins Professors Vivian Shipley (English) and Terrell Ward Bynum (philosophy) as a Southern recipient of this prestigious honor.
