Adanti Student Center - Ballroom

Professor of Art David A. Levine has been designated as a Connecticut State University Professor – one of the CSCU System's highest honors – by the Board of Regents.

The title of CSU Professor is awarded to outstanding faculty members at Southern, Eastern, Western and Central Connecticut State Universities – comparable to being named to an endowed chair.

Dr. Levine has received international acclaim as a scholar, in particular for his research on the Dutch and Flemish artists working in Rome during the Baroque era.

He will be formally installed as a CSU Professor during a ceremony today, Monday, October 30, at 1 p.m. in the Adanti Student Center Ballroom.  All members of the Southern community are invited to attend.

Dr. Levine joins Professors Vivian Shipley (English) and Terrell Ward Bynum (philosophy) as a Southern recipient of this prestigious honor.
