Visioning Sessions for the SCSU Reflection Garden
Wednesday, March 1, 2017
ASC Ballroom
1-2 pm: Student focus
3-5 pm: Faculty / Staff focus
6-8 pm: Community focus

Southern students, staff, faculty, administrators, neighbors, and friends are invited participate in a "visioning" process with internationally-acclaimed landscape designer Julie Moir Messervy.

We are delighted to be working with Julie, an exceptional artist and facilitator who has designed an extensive number of public and private gardens, authored eight books, and received a number of awards and accolades for her work. The Julie Moir Messervy Design Studio ( designed the Toronto Music Garden: Inspired by Bach, created in collaboration with acclaimed cellist Yo Yo Ma. That challenging project gave Julie a unique perspective that will be perfectly suited to our efforts of creating a garden space from the complex concept of social justice.

In order to accommodate various schedules, Julie will lead three sessions. Although each session will have a particular audience focus, all will be open to those interested in attending.

These visioning sessions will be inspiring and fun, and an exciting opportunity to help shape the long-term direction of the SCSU Reflection Garden.

In order to reserve your spot at any one of these sessions, please register today at
