'Blue Butterfly Effect': Film Screening and Discussion

"Blue Butterfly Effect" illuminates the inspiring protest of a rural town in South Korea fighting against the Korean government's decision to deploy the U.S. missile defense system (THAAD) in their their backyard. This documentary explores the grassroots origins of this movement, with focus on women's political
involvement, and the larger geopolitical threat THAAD poses in the North-East Asia region. Following the screening, Director Park Moon-chil will video chat with the audience to answer questions.

"Blue Butterfly Effect" won "Best Documentary"  at the 2017 Jeonju International Film Festival.
