Hijab/Kufi Day: Be a Muslim for a Day (Part 2)

Thursday, November 16, 2017

Adanti Student Center - Room 326

Hijab/Kufi Day is a chance for non-Muslims to wear the hijab (head covering for women in islam) or the kufi (head cap for men in islam) for a day. After wearing it, we come back together for a chance to reflect on each person's experience and what it truly means for women and men to dress modestly in Islam. Part 1 will be a chance for students and faculty to come try on the hijab and kufi on. Part 2 will be towards the end of the day when everyone comes together to discuss their experiences.
